1. The process for the selection of the HMO provider for LBP Senior Officers, Middle Management/Junior Officers and Rank and File Employees for CY 2010 has been completed. All members of the Association of Health Maintenance Organizations in the Philippines (AHMOPHI) and those listed by the Insurance Commission to be offering health insurance programs were invited to participate. Only six (6) HMOs submitted their proposals, four (4) HMOs declined to participate and the others did not reply. The six (6) HMOs were screened, subjected to financial evaluation with the assistance of the Financial Institution Department (FID) and Background/Credit Investigation with the help of the Credit Investigation and Appraisal Department (CIAD). Only two (2) HMOs met the selection criteria.

2. For the 2010 HMO coverage, the MediCard Philippines, Inc. has been selected by the HMO Advisory Committee composed of LIBI-President, Atty. Jesus F. Diaz as Chairman; Atty. Ramon K. Cervantes as representative for Senior Officers; Atty. Ma. Cristina C. Malab and Mr. Camilo Sanchez for the Middle-Management/Junior Officers; Mr. Loreto Chua, Mr. Alvin Arriza and Mr. Ritche Sanqui for the Rank and File Employees; and Mr. Voltaire Pablo P. Pablo III – ERD.
